The Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity and the Annunciation, Oxford, was built through the generosity of men and women of many different nationalities and Christian traditions, on land donated by the House of St Gregory and St Macrina.
The foundation stone was blessed on Sunday 12th November 1972. The church was consecrated on Wednesday 11th July 1973 by:
Archbishop Athenagoras of Thyateira and Great Britain (Ecumenical Patriarchate);
Metropolitan Antony of Sourozh (Patriachate of Moscow);
Bishop Lavrentije of Western Europe (Serbian Patriarchate).
